This Morning Outside

At the Birdwatching Dot Com bird feeding station
Fairfield, Iowa

There was a time when the squirrels raided all of our feeders at Birdwatching Dot Com. This fellow has totally wrapped himself around the feeder my father made out of coconut shell. The squirrel cleaned it out in about five minutes. Any sunflower seeds he didn't eat he knocked on the ground.

We finally got serious about squirrel resistance. Studied it and applied what we learned. Now the squirrels don't even bother trying to get at the feeders. Sometimes they pick up some seeds off the ground. That's fine with me. The birds get first chance at the birdseed we offer

Here are the tips we learned about squirrel resistance.
