NGS Guide

Are you a beginning birdwatcher in any of these states? If so, there's a book just for you.

For the books on Iowa and Missouri, you'll learn facts and tidbits about the birds that live in your backyard and how to attract them. A friendly, conversational, style is like a friend talking to you. Learn what to look for in your state during spring, summer, fall, and winter. These are from Bird Watcher's Digest. They're very friendly books. (Birdwatching Dot Com's own Diane Porter is co-author of the Iowa book.)

Colorado is a pocket-sized book from National Geographic Society. It has over 120 must-see birds from Colorado. Although it does not include all the species found in the state, it does capture the flavor of Colorado and show the most outstanding species.

And below are some other good source books about wild birds.
