Hummingbird feeders are wonderful gadgets for bringing hummingbirds up close, but nothing can beat a patch of red salvia.

Ruby-throated hummingbirds lick the nectar out of the little cup deep in the flower. In an hour or so the flower must have renewed its supply, because you'll see it receive hummingbird attention again.
