This Morning Outside

A bird in fresh feathers will always make a more attractive image than one in worn plumage, so I try to photograph birds at their best. But this cardinal with his tail in utter disarray somehow appeals to me. As if he has been burning his candle at both ends. Using it all up. Holding nothing back, just completely going all out for life.
