This Morning Outside

When suddenly most of the birds vanish from my feeder, and the few remaining are absolutely still, I look around for a Sharp-shinned Hawk.

This is the time I'm glad I have a good spotting scope. I know the sharpie will be poised on a branch, waiting for an opportunity for lunch.

Getting such a good look at a Sharp-shinned Hawk is a rare treat.
