This Morning Outside

My neighbor, Gray Catbird, is making a lot of noise now. He and another catbird perch in adjacent trees and meow at each other.

This is not like the operatic songs of spring. That's about over now. This summer talk sounds to me like jeers or insults.

But maybe it's simply a friendly chat, catbird style.
