This Morning Outside

The unseasonably cold, wet spring took its toll on our bluebirds. I don't think any of the early nestings succeeded.

But now success is in the air. This pair has honored the nest box in our front yard. And I happen to know that inside five baby bluebirds are clamoring to be fed. The parents diligently bring food.

And they never leave the birdhouse unguarded. They watch it constantly.
